Flying into Expert

When a flier posts three times under 1:20 during the season, that flier will become a 10 lap flier normally referred to as an expert.
The points that the flier accumulated as a 9 lap flier will remain with the flier. The flier has the option to add the expert points to the standard points and keep the total of the two in standard class for the season or to transfer all points to the expert class. The option must be declared [prior to] the start of the first [qualifying] race in expert.
