Hey Everyone,
Just got a note from Dennis Duplice regarding next week's race. Registration will be closing at 8:00 AM . If you are running late, please contact a racing buddy by 8am to let them know you will be there. If we have not heard from you by 8:00, your name will be removed from the matrix. Dennis will be holding a pilot's meeting at 8:15. There will be a 20 minute trim flight window from 9:00 to 9:20 with the first green flag dropping at 9:30 sharp. Due to field restrictions, there will be no running of motors prior to 9:00 AM. Dennis is hoping to get in 6 rounds of racing so please be prepared and try to keep things moving.
The Salem field will be open for practice/trimming Friday from noon on. If you are able to trim Friday please do so that those unable to attend the practice session will be able to trim during our short window Saturday AM.
Again, PLEASE pre-register here by Friday afternoon if you plan to attend. If you talk to any of your racing friends, let them know to do the same. Hoping for some great weather and an even better turn out for the last race of the season. Looking forward to seeing you all there!!
Craig
Hi Everyone,
Great news....the Salem Fall race will officially be a 2 day event!!! Thank you to Dennis Duplice and the rest of the Salem club for allowing Nepro the use of their wonderful flying site for one last fall blast. The format will be as follows:
Saturday Oct 1 we will be running both Nepro 424 and Nepro Sportsman Class.
Sunday Oct 2 we will be running Nepro 424 OR AMA 426. Two things to take note of here. One is that, due to time constraints you must choose either 424 OR 426. The other is that there will be no Sportsman Class run on Sunday
After the huge success of last weekends Ellington race, we are hoping to see a record turnout. Please let any of your fellow club members that express interest in pylon racing about our Sportsman class where you can experience pylon racing with any aircraft you own (even electrics!)
I have also been told that Calvin and Rob will be serving their now famous Pulled Pork Barbecue at least one of the days
Please Pre-register for Saturday's race Click Here. I will try to come up with a list of local hotels over the next couple of days. Additionally, if you want to bring your family the Salem field is fairly close to Mystic Seaport/Aquarium, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, The Crystal Mall and other attractions.
I am not sure I have the most current mailing list, so please pass this email on to your flying buddy if you do not see his name in the distribution. Looking forward to seeing everyone there
